According to Mayan beliefs, Cenotes acted as gateways to another world. I recently had the opportunity to dive with @thecenoteguy and now I share the same belief. As soon as you enter the Cenote, a sense of peace engulfs you. You can only hear the sound of occasional bat clicks or dripping water. This feeling persists as you go deeper into the blue waters. At 70 feet, you come across “Halocine,” a cloud that separates saltwater from freshwater. Your vision becomes hazy and you need to adjust your buoyancy. Trust me when I say that diving in Cenotes is one of the most exciting experiences you’ll ever have. I am thoroughly hooked!
