Ava is a tiny puppy who had a rough start in life. When she was born, she had two damaged hind legs, which made it difficult for her to move around. To make matters worse, she was also covered in dirt and had a bad case of mange, a skin condition caused by mites.
Luckily, some kind-hearted rescuers came to her rescue and took her to be checked out by a veterinarian. The news wasn’t good – Ava’s red blood cell count was dangerously low at just 17%, and her liver and kidneys weren’t functioning properly. In addition, she was found to have a blood parasite that needed to be treated.
Despite all these health issues, Ava is a fighter. With the help of her rescuers and medical treatment, she’s slowly but surely starting to recover. It won’t be an easy road, but we’re all rooting for her and wishing her a speedy recovery!
On the ninth day, Ava is under the care of a vet and receiving treatment for her blood parasite and mange. Fortunately, her skin is showing signs of improvement, and she is becoming more energetic. In fact, she even made an effort to put weight on her left hind leg while standing on her other two legs.
After two weeks, the foster mother expressed the need to bring the dog to the veterinarian for an X-ray to assess the condition of her bones. She also mentioned checking the dog’s feces and taking her temperature.
Ava had been undergoing treatment for a little over a month to address all of her health concerns. As time passed, she started showing signs of improvement. Her coat became lustrous and soft, and she began to grow in size. She’s now a very lively and outgoing pup who loves to spend time with her rescuers. It’s incredible how far she’s come!
