Upon arrival, Houston appeared worn out and in need of love and care. However, he quickly warmed up to his new surroundings and was full of affection and excitement. According to Angela Hartley, the development director of Tabby’s Place, Houston arrived looking malnourished and covered in matted fur, and had several medical issues. Despite his challenges, Houston was a lovable little creature who won over the hearts of everyone who met him.
Houston, a Siamese cat, suffered from hydrocephalus which caused swelling and prevented him from fully opening his eyes. However, he remained friendly towards people and grateful for their help. The kind-hearted feline even showed affection by making a cute gesture with his paws while the team untangled his matted coat.
Tabby’s Place sought out the expertise of a veterinary neurologist to ensure that Houston received top-notch treatment for his ailment. Thanks to the reduction in pressure around his brain, he began to show signs of improvement and even managed to stand up on his own two feet. The entire team was overjoyed upon seeing Houston’s bright blue eyes once again and hearing his confident meows, which were the result of his newly regained strength.
Angela from Love Meow expressed their dedication to caring for cats that are in dire need. Houston, in particular, has already received an abundance of love and care from them. Houston is now living in a comfortable kitty suite with soft blankets to ensure his safety as he moves around and plays. He has made significant progress and has even regained his youthful spirit.
