Steph Curry is a fan of BottleRock Napa Valley. The famous basketball player, who will soon be leading the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers, was spotted having a good time at the festival’s opening day on Friday at the Napa Valley Expo in downtown Napa.
The fifth annual BottleRock festival is expected to attract over 120,000 attendees, including NBA star Curry who made a surprise appearance on Day One. The crowd cheered “MVP! MVP!” as he joined his wife Ayesha on the culinary stage for a cooking demonstration. Bay Area rapper E-40 also made an appearance.
It’s clear that BottleRock festival is becoming increasingly popular, as demonstrated by a recent event that featured one of the Bay Area’s most well-known athletes. This is quite an achievement considering the festival was struggling financially after its first year in 2013. But the organizers have made impressive improvements to enhance the overall experience for attendees and it’s paying off.
BottleRock is on track to have another successful year, especially after being acquired by Live Nation. The festival sold out in record time, which can be attributed to the impressive lineup featuring big names like Foo Fighters, Maroon 5, and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Recently, Foo Fighters surprised a small crowd of 150 at a club in downtown Napa with an impromptu performance. Other talented acts include Modest Mouse, Mavis Staples, Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals, Fitz and the Tantrums, Warren G, and Silversun Pickups.
