Witnessing the rescue of a helpless animal is a heartwarming sight to behold. Recently, a stray dog was found trapped inside an abandoned school in St. Louis. The circumstances surrounding how the dog became stuck in the school remain a mystery.
Luckily, a group of compassionate individuals spotted the helpless puppy and notified a nearby rescue organization. Stray Rescue of St. Louis has a history of assisting animals that have faced significant challenges, so upon receiving the notification about a trapped pitbull, they quickly sprung into action to save the unfortunate pup.
However, the rescue operation wasn’t a cakewalk as the dog was quite frightened and disoriented. As soon as he sensed human presence, he scurried away and concealed himself. But considering the circumstances, it’s understandable. Luckily, Donna Lochmann from the Stray Rescue has vast experience handling such situations, so she had a plan in place.
The dog, Teacher’s Pet, who was lost, found his way to Donna and her colleagues as they were searching for him. Despite being in a difficult situation, Teacher’s Pet immediately sensed the kindness of the humans and greeted them with a wagging tail. According to Natalie Thomson, the director of marketing at the Stray Rescue, two ladies living in the area had heard the howling coming from the school where the dog was trapped and called for help. Although there were two dogs in the building, Teacher’s Pet was the only one that needed assistance. The rescue center named him Teacher’s Pet in honor of his bravery and intelligence in finding his way back to safety.
Extracting the pooch from the premise turned out to be quite a challenge. As the rescuers were not authorized to enter the building, they had to resort to evacuating the animal through the window, which made Teacher’s Pet feel uneasy. However, the mood shifted once they reached their vehicle, and the pit bull that was rescued couldn’t contain its enthusiasm.
